Fancy a night out at the silver screen? Well there will be just such a night at the Rye Wurlitzer on Saturday 12th May 2012. Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin and others will be presented just the way they used to be and will be accompanied by the North East's master accompanist Carl Heslop (direct from his appearances at the Berwick Festival). This will be a treat as it ia the first time Carl has appeared at Rye.

Graham Blackledge (Manager at Rimmers Music shop) opened up Britains Got Talent last night and made a huge impression on the panel. Alesha and David loved him, Simon Cowell's comment was not quite so complimentary saying his performance was "like eating vanilla ice cream with a sausage" to which Graham asked him if he had ever done so!
Grahams performance consisted of opening with Toccata which then segued into La Bamba to which the audience stood up, danced and joined in. He then got a standing ovation. With two yes's to one he has qualified for the next round. Will he join Jean Ma... Read more.
Two in one day! East Coast Organ Society have just informed us that they have also changed venue and details can be found on their OrganFax web page. Carol Rose said "We are looking forward to our time at the the venue and we would like to extend a welcome to anyone that has not yet visited our club".
