Due to a loss of car park space Sussex Keyboard & Organ Club are having to move from Queen Street, Worthing to a new venue. Starting on January 21st 2016 their concerts will be at Lancing Parish Hall, South Street, LANCING, BN15 8AJ.
The first concert will feature Nicholas Martin and will start at the new time of 7.15pm. All future concerts will be on the third Thursday of the month. We wish them well at the new venue!
Over the weekend of 14th & 15th November, the Penistone Cinema Organ Trust are holding two events which will be of interest to theatre organ enthusiasts.
On Saturday 14th November, Nigel Ogden will be presenting an afternoon of musical entertainment on the fine four manual Compton, installed in the Penistone Paramount (S36 6DY). Mattel launched their international marketing campaign for Barbie a few days ago with a new ad entitled ‘You Can be Anything’. This delightful little film features music by Andy Quin. It has already won much critical acclaim and had more than 3.5 million hits on YouTube. Once again Andy’s music carries an inspirational message following up on last years MAS Award nominated campaign he scored for Nike;

Tony Whittaker has informed us that he will be providing live piano accompaniment to Buster Keaton’s classic silent film ‘The General’ at the Royal Spa Centre Cinema, Leamington Spa on Friday October 16th at 8.00 pm.

As part of its ongoing efforts to recruit more support, the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society has devised a special scheme which also helps local charities (and non-profit organisations). By prior agreement, the Club allocates say 20 tickets to a selected charity for a specific concert on the understanding that this charity retains the proceeds. The potential outcome is that the Club will have 20 extra people in the audience and the participating charity will have £100 or more to add to their funds.
