We are delighted to learn from John Askwith of the North Lincolnshire Theatre Organ Preservation Society that their new season of concerts on the Compton organ start again on 9th September with Andrew Nix.
The future of the Town Hall has been in doubt threatening the concerts there but good news has prevailed and the Compton organ has been secured with ownership of it passing from East Lindsey District Council to the Louth Community Education Trust on 1st October meaning that the concerts can continue.
Great news for followers of this wonderful organ in such a stunning venue!
When Sue Perkins introduced the world to the Dinnington Colliery Band on the BBC, she never thought to look across the road for further local musical treats. Had she done so, she would have discovered the South Yorkshire Keyboard and Organ Club (SYKOC).
