After the very sad and untimely passing of Nick Swift of Swift Music, his wife Margaret has been in contact wishing to share the following message...

I would like to say a very big thank you for the many, many cards and letters of sympathy I have received from people all over the country following Nick’s unexpected and very sudden death on 22nd September, and to everyone who attended the funeral, some having travelled a very long way. I am very grateful to Michael Wooldridge who played such lovely music for the service, and to Colin Ford who gave such a moving eulogy.

Whilst David was setting up for the recent Brian Sharp Musical Break at The Kidderminster Mercure Hotel, operations were brought to a halt when the hotel receptionist asked if Keith Wilkinson from ITV Central News could use the room to film a couple of pre-arranged interviews for a short tribute to Betty Yates, the Bewdley resident who was brutally murdered earlier this year.
As the camera was being set up Keith spotted the organ and asked David if he played and if he would be prepared to play some music for the film, and when David revealed that he had met Betty at the hot... Read more.

Ben was born in Hitchin, Herts and raised in Royston for 18 years.  His Grandmother, Valerie Snowdon played a Wersi Helios and since she frequently looked after Ben while his mum was at work, it is perhaps no surprise that his exposure to this instrument at the tender age of 5 would go on to have such a profound effect on his life to date!

Following several months of uncertainty concerning the long time future of the Town Hall at Louth, Lincs where the fabulous Compton organ is showcased each month in concert as part of the North Lincolnshire Theatre Organ Preservation Society, good times are ahead!
