Those nice people at Korg have been in touch to let us know that PA3X owners can benefit from new software just released.

Korg Soundware and has been created with the UK customer in mind. Soundware consists of new Performances (registrations), Sounds, Songbook titles (with 4 STS per entry), drum kits and currently a new Etheral style. Soundware now also includes a set of data for the coming festive season.

Penny Weedon has had a new music book published. It's entitled GRADE FUN, a pun on the fact that she originally composed all the pieces for London College of Music grade exams in keyboard and organ. As they proved fun and very popular with the candidates she has now had them as a book for everyone to enjoy, whether they're taking an exam or just playing for fun. The book contains 17 pieces, carefully graded to give a gentle progress curve.

A new club for EdinburghA new club for Edinburgh

Good news from Scotland. For the first time in 40 years, there is a Keyboard and Organ Club in Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Keyboard & Electronic Organ Society has been formed by Kerr McIntosh, proprietor of the KeyPlayer Yamaha Homeworld store in the city. KeyPlayer was formerly known as Edinburgh Organ Studios, and was run by Kerr’s father Bill, for over 40 years. Bill sadly left us in February this year, but it was always his dream to re-establish an organ club in Edinburgh. Now that dream has become reality.

After the very sad and untimely passing of Nick Swift of Swift Music, his wife Margaret has been in contact wishing to share the following message...

I would like to say a very big thank you for the many, many cards and letters of sympathy I have received from people all over the country following Nick’s unexpected and very sudden death on 22nd September, and to everyone who attended the funeral, some having travelled a very long way. I am very grateful to Michael Wooldridge who played such lovely music for the service, and to Colin Ford who gave such a moving eulogy.
