ATOS Organist Of The YearATOS Organist Of The Year

Pictured right is David Gray who is just back from America having been named 'Organist of the year for 2015".

This is an annual award presented to an outstanding organist who is currently active in the theatre organ art form through live performances and recordings. Recipients must have been publicly active for five or more years in the theatre organ field. Our congratulations go to David for having won this prestigious award.

Winstons Wish DonationWinstons Wish Donation

John & Jackie Romero have announced today the final tally for their fundraising at the Middlewich Folk & Boat Festival. Having counted all the coppers collected from shaking buckets, £470.71 was donated to 'Winstons Wish' bringing their running total to a fabulous £11,660.

Claire from Winstons Wish said "We hope John & Jackie will be able to do this every year as it raises both funds and the charities profile with the general public".

For the past 25 years Middlewich council in Cheshire have run an event called 'Folk & Boat'. Over 30,000 people are estimated to visit the free festival each year.

John and Jackie Romero would like to invite all to 'Accordion Magic', which will be their small part in the event in which all profits will go to the Winstons Wish Charity for beareved children. It all kicks off this Friday (19th June) and goes on until Sunday (21st).

St Stephen's Church is the Parish Church of Burnley Wood and Towneley and on Saturday May 16th they will be organising a concert with our own Chris Powell to help raise funds to help pay for a new heating boiler before the coming winter. Although St Stephens is well known for its amateur theatre group and musical interest in the area dating back to 1956 this will be their first Organ Concert. The St Albans Organ Theatre are opening on a limited number of Sunday afternoons this year to provide an opportunity to view their unique collection of mechanical (self playing) musical instruments. These range from reproducing pianos, musical boxes and Victorian hand-turned organettes to four large Belgium dance organs.
