This year’s UK Young Theatre Organist of the Year Competition, presented by the London and South of England Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society, was held on the fabulous 3/12 Wurlitzer at the Musical Museum, Kew Bridge on Sunday 22nd November.

The large and appreciative audience were presented with a wonderful afternoon of great music from the entrants, the youngest of whom was 14 and the eldest 17. Curl Up At Clevedon’s Curzon Curl Up At The Clevedon Christie

In the atmospheric auditorium of Clevedon’s historic Curzon Cinema Charlie Chaplin’s little tramp will amuse audiences, new and old, on Sun 6th December, 2pm accompanied by Richard Lennox on the 1930s Christie Pipe Organ.

Phantom Of The OperaPhantom Of The Opera

International recitalist, Dr Anthony Hammond, will be returning to the village of his grandparents to play a dramatic and improvised organ accompaniment to the original 1925 black and white movie, The Phantom of the Opera. The film will be shown in St Mary’s Church, Overton-on-Dee on Saturday 21st November at 7:30pm.

Friday 16th October

The North Staffs Organ & Keyboard Club are proud to present a LOWERY evening concert by Trevor Flunder on 22nd October 2015, commencing at 8.00pm. Admission at the door, £3.00 members, £4.00 guests.

Trevor will be playing the fabulous Lowery Inspire organ and this special event will take place at the Wolstanton High Street Club, High Street, Wolstanton, Newcastle, Staffs.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the local branch of Cancer Research in Newcastle, and they hope to be presenting the cheque to a representative on the night.

Support them if you can to raise a substantial sum of money for this worthwhile charity.

Kings Lynn Minster have a special concert this evening featuring Michael Hankinson, Conductor Laureate of The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.

The organ, partly by Snetzler, has recently been greatly enlarged with the addition of a new 32’ reed and a tuba amongst other stops. To celebrate this work they are presenting a concert of three organ concertos – Vivaldi – Handel & Poulenc together with the Albinoni Adagio.

Sunday 1st November will be the first opportunity to sit back and enjoy the Troxy Wurlitzer organ in use for its original purpose, to provide a full orchestral soundtrack to a classic movie.
