Also after ten years of being Chairman, Brian Leonard has decided that, due to some ill health, he is handing over the reins to Phil Burt as Chairman. Phil and Pat would like to thank Brian on behalf of all the club members for all the hard work and enthusiasm he has put into the club over those years to make it so successful.
It is with sadness that we report the passing of Albert Ratcliffe.
Known to many for his involvement with the Rutland Organ Club which he ran for many years, this week saw Albert's 89th birthday.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Carol who has cared for him for many years - he will be missed by many.
It is great sadness that we announce the passing of Cled Griffin just 3 weeks short of his 90th Birthday.
Father to Ian Griffin, many of you knew Cled through his influetial roles within the organ world. Cled was the originator of the Home Organ Festivals which started in 1980 at Pontins Barton Hall, Torquay. He certainly revolutionalised and set the way forward for many to come with residential organ events.
Our sincerest thoughts go to Ian and Donna and their families at this very sad time.
