I recently acquired an HS8 and want to run it on external speakers..I see that Yamaha manufacture the KA series of active speaker for this instrument and I am attempting to find some..In the meantime I would like to run the instrument through the speakers that I use on my Wersi Helios W2T..These are passive and so I will need an amp...Can anyone suggest a good amp for the job.
Many Thanks

Hi,
I have a HS8 and a HX3, both of which sound fabulous tyhrough the Yamaha KA20 speakers, I got a mint set with my HX3 and was very surprised at how good they were. When I purchased my first HX back in 1988, I got the KA's on trial but didn't like them then. At that point I went for Peavey KB300's but these were even heavier than the KA's and sounded very harsh in the higher frequencies. Have you had a look at the Roland KC series? They are great, particularly the KC350 and KC550.

Finally got the speaker issue sorted and am running on Elka TRZ 100's...The MDR packed in so I bought and MDR4 on Ebay and found the seller to be the well knownYamaha Organ Artiste Alex Payler.
I also managed to acquire a CVS10 on Ebay and finally ram packs from Lynne Wilson at Premier Organs in Kent.
So everything is now running nicely but am still on the lookout for any HS8 softwareCheers
