Saw Chris Hopkins on YT using a combination of Wersi & Tyros. Understand this combination is being used for dancing at the Tower. The Tyros has the Tower Wurlitzer samples from TTT within the keyboard.
With this sort of combination where will the WurliTzer Organ fit in?

Can't see the Wurlitzer ever disappearing from the Tower Ballroom, but the Wersi / Tyros3 combo certainly sounds pretty good.

I hope the Wurlitzer will never just have to 'fit' in at the Tower. If anything, the Wersi and Tyros should be the 'fit ins'! hehe
I think us dance organists have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to dancing to organs and organists in the UK as the Tower organ was the first over here to be used in such a way.
As the Ballroom etc is listed, I have always assumed the Wurlitzer is part of that listing and as such, has to be in a 'workable' (though it is more than just workable thanks to keith Ledson!!!!!) condition, so they'd be silly to stop using it.

The Wurlitzer will never be side-lined,and as long as PK is there,it's certainly never going to happen...while the Wersi/Tyros is all very impressive, electronics can never equal the warmth and tonal spectrum of the real speaking pipes...when the Wurlitzer takes over at the changeover you realize this moreso..it really fills the room . If, heaven forbid, the Wurlitzer was pensioned off, the Tower will not get my £17(ouch!!) anymore for sure!

Wersi/ Tyros 'FILL INS'!! At it Again Cameron! How many times a week do you go in there? Once a year maybe? Pointless Opinion.

If the Wersi / Tyros wasn't there, I know quite a few people who would not go dancing in the Tower.!!!!

It is good that Mr Hopkins has read this topic.
Perhaps Chris could enlighten those who do not know why the Tyros (with TTT Wurli samples) was added to the Louvre?
Understood (many moons ago?) when Roy(?) persuaded the Tower to install the Wersi, samples were taken of the WurliTzer so that it could used on the Louvre.Posted 1 year ago # -
The Samples in the Tyros were some of the ones done by myself and Kevin Grunhill a while ago. I put the Tyros in there to Strengthen the Louvres Potential, more so in the Rythem Section. When the Louvre was Upgraded to V7 I found that the 'drum edit' facility Did not work, which left us, myself and David Lobban with very basic and not very good drums.
After Persueding my boss, I was allowed to Mount the Tyros onto the Louvre, with full permission from Peter Armitage.
The voices on the Tyros and Drums are fantastic and work very well with the Louvre. Also the Wurlitzer Samples are fantasic after being edited by Reg Rawlings.

Thanks Chris.
Good to know the correct facts.
It is certainly a 'dream' set-up and no doubt to play from your description.
Do hope you will be able to upload more YT featuring Tyros/Louvre.
Intriguing - 'my boss' - you might like to say whom?
From what one reads re the fluid situation of who will eventually own the Tower complex, perhaps share your thoughts?Posted 1 year ago #
