Great to have two new youtube vids from Reg.
John & Nicolas and Nicolas on his own. They were 'captured' playing for a tea dance and used rhythms on the organ.
For dances no doubt rhythm is needed to maintain the beat.
Look forward to those of you who have the new samples perform using the sounds 'straight' without any rhythm devices. Although there are others, to me the best one I have heard so far is the Kiss Waltz played by Tony, very sympathetic, playing ideal for the Tower sounds. Hope Tony's fingers are healing and look forward to his next video.

Hi to all from The Wet New Zealand. We are having what they call a Weather Bomb at the moment.
We are on tank water so yippee......
Have been altering settings on fantom and enjoying it.
What i would ask is,
Is it possible to change the entire setting on the lower manual from one performance to another.
Say R.Combo 8 from number 12 to number 2 .
Does this sound confusing.

Hi Keith,
I think I understand what you are wanting to do - the easiest way to change the lower sound permanently (?) to the one you wish is as follows :-
have the user performance you wish to change at the ready..... press "enter" on the Fantom ONCE and play a note on the lower keyboard to see which channel/part lights up on the screen (quite possibly part 2 as I'm guessing Reg will have set it to that). Press enter once again to take you into the edit mode. Next, find the part you want to change (by using the cursor buttons/up and down arrows), then use the value knob to change to the appropriate sound you want. Having done that, the next step is to press "shift" and "write" to save it to your chosen user position (not Reg's card)... hope this helps, if not I'll try and explain further.
I didn't know what a weather bomb was until I just googled it there, and was dismayed to see what New Zealand is in for........ :-( I didn't realise you didn't get weather so bad.... and having to use tank water? Is that because of the drought you have been having? Hope you have the food supplies in too! The UK went from winter to summer overnight - that's why it's been so quiet here, as we're all catching up on our outdoor tasks that are long overdue.
Regards
Nicola

Sorry to hear you're a bit tired out with it all Tony....I can sympathise - things do get on top of us at times. If it's any consolation, I'm going through a phase of not playing mine either at the moment..... too bogged down with other things.... I think a taking a break is a good idea, as it makes it even more enjoyable when you go back to it after a spell away. Hope you are manging to get some chill-out time from work, and enjoying the nice weather. Fantomania is a good winter-time pursuit, but when the sun shines...... well....we have to make the most of it!

Hello. Tony do not give up . Life is too short.
Have a spell and give a it another kick in the Guts.
Talent is too good to waste.
If we were all perfect it would be boring.
I talk from old age experience.
try something else for a while.
By the way. Nic.
A lot of parts of New Zealand are rural and on tank water.
We prefer tank water to town supply, as they add to it out here.
Sorry about the lecture.
I will now Shut My Big Mouth.

Hello Baldwin here again.
Hello Keith here.
I have TOIAB on Baldwin Organ. Also Elmat which has made is very easy to use...
Works wonderful.
What I would like to know,'is it possible to edit theatre organ say 14, 22 Ranks and BP organ to make them a little more mellow.
Have tried editing sounds without success.
Would appreciate any advice.
Cheers. Keith.Posted 1 year ago # -
Hi Keith,
In performance mode, press "ENTER" twice to take you to edit mode. Press the right cursor (WRITE button) to take you to the page which has the following at the top of the page :- Cut Res Atk Rel Dcy
For "mellowing" your chosen sound, use the scroll knob to decrease the value of the "Cut" also possibly the "Res" - these are both actually filters and almost act pretty much in the way of a crude graphic equaliser ..... There are no hard and fast rules, just fiddle around with each one until you get it to suit what you want and then save it. Some sounds only need taking back a few to say -5, others are better at -20, and of course it also works for making the sound a bit sharper too by adjusting the cut & res to a + setting. Hope this helps.
Have fun. Cheers!
