Just a note about our brilliant artists allegedly being SNOBS. Well maybe they are!!

    Sensational
    Note perfect
    Outstanding
    Brilliant
    Superhumans!

Sorry boys and girls, I couldn't resist that!

On the back of what Nicola said. I have found every artist I have met to be a truly decent, polite, down to earth and a hardworking individuals.

How lucky are we in Herne Bay today (Sunday 7th), we have Robert Wolfe playing in our local theatre, I am sure it's going to be a great afternoon. If I may add a quick thank you to Robert. He has allowed our club to set up a stand in the foyer of the theatre to promote Herne Bay Organ & Keyboard Club and to hand out our flyers! We couldn't ask for a better platform to help increase our local visiblility so thanks again Robert and team.

Oh yes, Chris & Marie, and all involved in Organfax Radio! Thumbs up from this end guys. If Organfax made beer!...........................Cheers for now. Phil

Couldn't agree more Phil! We are SO lucky to have the pleasure of being able to hear and see these artists. Three cheers to them all for all their hard work and dedication!

Top marks to Robert Wolfe for helping your club too. A classic example of how kind, enthusiastic and obliging the pros are. Good luck with handing out the flyers - I'm sure this will have a positive impact on your Club, and good on you for being so enthusiastic and pro-active.

    Regards

    Hi Nicola,

I am still coming back down to earth having returned from the Robert Wolfe concert playing the Lowrey Prestige!

    Absolutely magnificent!

It was lovely to be able to chat to so many people about our club too. I was concerned that although we have been established for over 28 years how many people didn't know we existed, even with the amount of promoting we do. It did generate some healthy interest having our stand there so thanks again Robert Wolfe for being so obliging.

What is so worrying is that at my tender age of 47 , I was the youngest at the concert this afternoon with the exeption of my 12 year old daughter who was helping me with the flyers. So in 15/20 years time will it only be me in the audience? By the way well done to Richard Moore who was the MC and Chairman of the Rye Organ Society for giving Organfax Radio a plug too this afternoon.

Oh well, my feet are nearly back on the ground, I am staring at my Tyros in the corner of the room. It probably knows it will have a couple of kicks coming it's way as after a concert it seems to have a negative effect on my playing and my enthusiasm to practice (I wonder why!). Please someone tell me that I am not the only person to feel like this after a concert. Phil.

Proper Pipes or Plastic Pipes eh?

Not wanting to give any clues away and reduce my chances of winning these Cd's........But If they are plastic pipes would they not have originally been sampled from Proper Pipes? :-) Tee hee. Oh how cynical of me!!

    Hi Phil

Great to hear you had a super concert! Yes, it never fails to amaze me despite us advertising in the usual papers/organ mags/local radio, just how many people are surprised to hear of an Organ Clubs existence.... It will be good if you have managed to gain a few new members because of Robert's concert and the flyers you handed out.

At the tender age of 42, I also worry who will be left. I can see you, I, and a few others having to join forces in years to come!!

If it's any consolation, there are a few of us over on the toiab thread that have been threatening to sell or throw our equipment out the window, so you're not alone in wanting to kick the Tyros! Thankfully, as yet, nobody has done it.

I don't think any of us are in danger of catching up with the pros any time soon, but we still have fun!!!

Plastic or genuine? Depends on how good the samples are ;-)

    Regards

I havent the faintest idea what Im doing in the organfax radio forum-mine was just a general comment about the Eastbourne festival and a test to see if my inclusions were altered-Im just adippyfemale who does not really understand just what exactly is going on with these yellow highlights-whats the purpose of them?
None of my inclusions have anything in them that could be construed as risque!
Anyway, listened to the organfax radio-made a request and an observation-
    very good!

jennifer ..ok your getting the yellow highlights because where you have wrote HAVENT at the start you have put an apostrophe between the N and the T of this ..then futher on you have done the same with- WHATS .. between the T and the S .. .. if you use 2 apostrophes it will hightlight what is bewteen the 1st and the last so if you look its highlighted between the T of havent and the IM.. the same again further on ..
leave this out ' << (the apostrophe) you have also use one at the start of risque and one at the end which is why its highlighting yellow.. hope this helps .. cheers Tony

    Hi Radio Listeners,

Far be it from me to suggest changing the format of the already very popular Organfax Radio but I wonder if a "Jelly spot" would go down well on the show? I am sure there are many amateurs out there amongst the clubs etc who would love to upload a tune to the boys (Chris & Brett) then have it played "on air"....... I wonder?
Of course I am certainly not putting my head above the parapet to be the 1st lamb to the slaughter! (cluck cluck!) What do you think guys?

Great show C&B, looking forward to 1st of April.
    Phil.

I have been reading the comments about snobbery and must say that without exception I have found all the organists on the circuit to be very down to earth and not at all pompous about their great talents.
With this, is their dedication with hours of practice so that we can sit down and listen to their offerings-it really amazes me-I look forward to the next exciting edition of organfax radio.
