Hi Bill,
Sorry for that, we are expereincing some technical problems at the moment and also doing some changes to the ascociated 'page'.... All should be back to normal ASAP along with archived shows so that you don't miss anything.
All Best Wishes,
Marie
It’s good to see Orgafax Radio is back, however I find the interviews much to long for one go, I personally would find it better, if you were to follow the standard broadcast format of interspersing the interview with music. (More than 5-7 minutes talking puts all but the dedicated off)
Alternatively you could follow the TV format, where you edit the interview down to the highlights for live broadcast, and provide a link to where the full interview can be downloaded.
This may sound a bit harsh, but as you are trying to get a greater awareness for organs, (One of the few radio shows that do) a long interview with no breaks will put all but the dedicated organ user off. (Which I am sure you would wish to avoid)
Continue with the features, (Which are always excellent) but promote them as if they have just come out today, and is the future of music.
Regards
Bill
I’ve just listened to July’s addition of OrganFax Radio. I fully understand what abacus is saying about the length of the interview, however I do like them. I think it has a different approach to what the other radio stations are doing. I guess you could have OrganFax Radio in three parts with the interview in the middle and let the audience decide if they want to listen.
You guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work I enjoy the relaxed banter along with the interviews.
Regards
EL90 Phil.
Hi guys, thanks for the messages and good wishes. Take your point Bill about the length of the interviews - to be fair, the show is longer than anything else out there (getting on for 2 hours at times), so I guess that's why it sits at its current length. Might be a good idea to break them up with a track in the middle - will look at that.
We are still trying to make OFR a little bit different to the other shows up there, (BBC, ATOS, Organ 1st, Jazzhooves, COS etc) which are all great - every single one is most different now, which has got to be good. We want OFR to be fun and also to try and appeal to new folk too. It was great having Matthew with us for the whole day recently when we recorded the July issue - he's a real fun chap and has loads of experiences and kowledge to share, that's what we wanted to put across to our listeners.
Keep tuning in - there's much more fun to come!
Cheers, Chris

'getting over two hours at times' - 'longer than anyone else out there'.
Quantity = Quality ?
Do enjoy OFR as one does with the other shows mentioned.
Perhaps more music sourced from other artists not used so far at the expense of less 'talk' ?
