A few people have been kind enough to share their own playing skills on here for us all to listen to and enjoy, so I thought it was about time to start a thread dedicated to any keen enthusiasts that may wish to post links for sharing their music on here. Since we are scattered all over the U.K. (and further afield), I think it would be nice if we could have someplace to post links (if that's ok with the mods?). What say you all?

Who's gonna be the first?..... JLow?.... did you get boxnet so you can share with us? Blackpool dancer - any more tracks to share with us? Anyone else out there?.... :-)

Co-incidently I sent an email to the mods via the contact us page asking the very same question. Hopefully if enough people ask they may be persuaded. I suspect that they may have copyright concerns, but if the music is stored elsewhere e.g box.net then it shouldn't be an issue.

I think it would be good if there were 'professional' and 'amateur' sections.

Will this mean we will NOT be able to post our box net 'productions' on this forum?

No, as the music file is stored externally on box, net, then it shouldn't cause a copyright issue on this forum. All you are doing here is posting a link to box.net. This is the way it works on YPKO forum.

For me this is embarrassing, I am a computer dummy!
From my self-produced, recorded cd's I have been able to 'rip' a mp3 version onto the computer using it's Windows Media Player function and have it placed in a folder.
Have already set up a box.net account and have arrived at 'upload' stage to share BUT do not know how to transfer from WMP mp3 folder to box.net.
Do I burn a cd (mp3 version) from WMP or what ....

Ok, lets see if I can help. Having logged on to box.net you have pressed the upload button. This opens a new window. Click the Add Files button. This opens a folder from your Pc. You may need to navigate to the folder where the mp3 file is stored, then double click on the file you want to upload. This will add the file to your upload list (you can add several files) Then hit the upload button and your file will transfer to box.net

Thank you so much Geoff for all your help.
Early this morning I think I have found the way to "navigate to the folder where the mp3 file is stored". Next task is to add file(s) and transfer to box.net.
If everything goes according to plan, hope to shortly share some of my music with you all.
