    Hi folks,
I have just recently traded in my piano for a Roland atelier and have been looking around for other organ enthusiasts, it is many years since I attempted to play organ and I am as rusty as they come, this seems to be a friendly site so maybe you will put up with an amature asking silly questions as and when, I have downloaded members performances and am well impressed, good luck and best wishes with this club it is very much needed, one can feel a little out of depth and lost out there especially with an unfamilier instrument,
I would especially welcome contact with any member that plays an Atelier.
    Regards.

Hi Tom, and welcome! I can't profess to know my way around an Atelier myself (yet) but I don't doubt you'll bump into someone here sooner or later who knows the ropes. Good luck.

Welcome aboard Tom! It's always nice to see another enthusiast here. :-)

The good thing about this site is everybody is friendly and helpful, and whilst we all have a different assortment of organs/keyboards, the enthusiasm is very much in evidence, and long may it continue!

Like Pete, I don't have much experience with the Atelier, but my friend has a 900c which I have the chance to play occasionally. I've found the Roland organs to be very user friendly, and they have a super quality sound, so I think you will get many hours of pleasure from yours.

Don't be afraid to ask questions - we all pick each others brains from time to time, and it's amazing the things you can pick up from others.

Best wishes with the Atelier, and most importantly - have fun!

    Regards,

    Nicola

May I also welcome you to this forum.
Pete & Nicola are among the best musicians here, hope you have had a listen to their excellent performances.
Could you please let us know what model your Roland is as this might help us to help you.
If you let me have your e-mail address I may have some things that perhaps would put a 'shine' on your 'rusty' playing.

    Hello jlow.
I will certainly look out for music from Nicola and Pete and indeed all musical performances from club members, eventually I hope to perhaps add something my self though I am limited in my ability and this instrument is mind boggling I am finding it quite a job to find my way around it, there are some lovely sounds there but it is balancing and altering sounds that is the big problem and then of course actually playing to create music that would be to an acceptable standard as I have stated my playing ability is not of a professional status, never mind eh! I really enjoy playing and that is the main criteria and that probably goes for us all.
I was very lucky jlow and was offered a second hand Atelier 800, the trade in was very generous so I jumped trouble is I have almost got to start over again playability wise as this instrument is like chalk/cheese compared with the piano.
    My e/mail address tomhipkiss@sky.com
Thank you jlow for your response, it is much appreciated.
    Kind Regards.
    Tom.
