    You will not like this!
I will be voting for the best amateur musician.
Should professionals who give concerts around the country compete with amateurs? Surely this is not fair.

As I understand it, anyone can take part in Britains Got Talent. Some of the acts that have been on there are professional artists that perform at clubs and in theatres etc around the UK, no different to Jean.

The title simply says britains got talent, Jean is British, she has got talent, it doesn't say britains amateur entertainers only and no professionals allowed at all, uh uh, no way, have talent...

Ok then 'no different to Jean'.
With all this hype on various forums, the Sun, Hoff with his comments, I will have to go into a dark room or go away on holiday to recuperate.

    I must agree with Cameron.
The show is all about talent, regardless to their profession.
I would like to say a very big well done to Jean Martyn. I hope she goes rite to the top. The judges seemed to be very impressed.

Congratulations to the retired primary school teacher of which the instrument a judge described as a piano.

Which Jean is, and it just shows people don't know what an 'organ' is! All the more reason to support Jean and get the instrument we love back in the public eye!!!

Why so sarcastic JLOW, with a hint of put down for the organ and keyboard in general in most things that you post?? Plus, I'd like to actually know who you are. I'm not afraid to sign my full name, and lets face it, I have more to loose that you by doing that, as I'm an organist myself!

I was surprise that the judges didn't know what Jean's feet were doing. This could be a big break for the organ industry. I wonder if Jean will play any other styles on her Yamaha EL900, Big Band, and Orchestral. From what I can gather the judges thought it was an electric piano/keyboard.

The organ has just been neglected.

Since Charlie Balogh (spelling?) was featured on radio two with Chris Evans earlier this week, the two days after it, our YouTube video views went up accross them all by 400+ views! It shows people would still be interested in theatre and electronic organs IF radio, TV etc gave it the chance, but they don't they know best!! (Falls about on the floor laughing!!)

May be the BBC has been following OrganFax’s forums. They do seem to have changed their policy slightly on The Organist Entertains. The Rick Wakeman interview was like a breath of fresh air.

Well-done Jean Martyn. I’m glad you made the final, not only for you but the whole organ industry as well.
