    Hi Everyone,

I have an Elka X30 and a Roland G800 Keyboard. I would like to find a way to have the keyboard mounted above the organ instead of having to have it at the side of me. The Roland is a 76 note keyboard and quite big, does anybody know of a piece of kit that will do the job for me. I've seen other people with keyboards above organs but can never find a suitable stand or bracket.
Also does anybody know the actual weights of the Elka X30 and G800 as I may have to use another stand instead of the X30 stand.

    Thanks!

    Hi elkaman,

I don't know if anyone has come up with a "universal" kit as such yet.... I can understand it would make things so much easier for you to mount it above. I have a PSR8000 mounted above my EL90 and a bracket to hold my Roland expander on the side - not pretty, but it does the job. I was fortunate in the fact my father is skilled in metalwork/welding etc. so he tailor made mine to suit.

However, one option I would mention is to look up local Blacksmiths in your Yellow pages. I know of a few people that have approached their local blacksmith and they have obliged by producing tailer made stands/brackets to suit. I don't know what they would charge, but it might be worth asking about.

Hopefully there may be others out there that can come up with a better answer than mine though.

    Regards

    Nicola

Thank you very much Tony and Nicola, to be honest I wasn't really expecting to get a response to my rather strange question.
I've been thinking that maybe the only way to go is to get a custom stand, it's very helpful to know the weights of the instruments. I've looked high and low on the internet but couldn't find the information I wanted anywhere, so thanks for that Tony.
