| Then a little more about us ... | ||
Although we are a relatively small club, there is a very friendly atmosphere. We have been in existence for over twenty five years, and at present we have a membership of just over eighty. In addition, visitors are always welcome to come to hear their favourite organists when they are playing at Winchester |
Our venue is at The Winchester Club in Worthy Lane, Winchester - close to the railway station. There is free parking at the club. The hall is large, with a stage, and the acoustics are very good. Tables and chairs are arranged around the room, and in addition rows of chairs are set out in the centre. This way, everyone gets a good view of the organist. |
Our concerts commence at 7.30 pm and finish at 10.00 pm with a thirty minute interval, when tea and coffee is available and drinks are available from the bar in the adjoining room. In addition, of course, there is the Raffle to aid Club Funds |
We have a Notice Board advertising future organists, a short biography (if available) and a photo. In addition, we usually have information about other clubs and artistes, and anything interesting pertaining to the organ world. |
