About New Forest Organ Society

This Society was formed in 1979 and the membership steadily increased from 15 people until 1994 when the number reached 200, and it soon became necessary to form a membership waiting list.  Since then the concert evenings are either full or nearly full - the hall holds 200.  Members have the advantage of booking in advance but there are usually 30 - 50 tickets to sell to members and non-members at the door.  Concerts are held monthly and are usually - but not always - on the fourth Tuesday in the month.

The Social Section was introduced in January 1995 and is usually for members only, although people on the waiting list are welcome.  These evenings are also held monthly (usually second Tuesday) and are intended for members to play their own organs and keyboards and often other instruments as well.  We also arrange other events, e.g. concert outings, party evenings or dinners. etc. Other events through the year include Classical Concert, Social Summer Party, Christmas Party and/or Dinner and Concert. The Society welcomes visitors from other Clubs and we are always pleased to hear from anyone who is on holiday in our area.

The club usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.15pm
