A BRIEF HISTORY
It was in April
1968 that the "Hammond Organ Society" (Jersey branch) was formed. Some
sixty people attended that evening at La Moye Hotel to witness the formation of
this Society of Organ enthusiasts and listen to the music played by
international organist and recording artiste, Keith Beckingham, who travelled to
Jersey especially for the concert.

In 1981 the
Society was renamed "The Jersey Electronic Organ Society" as a wider range of
electronic organs became available to our members.
In September 2003
we relocated to The Gardeners Tea Room, at Ransom's Garden Centre, in the Parish
of St. Martin.
Our
move has proved very fruitful as we have more than doubled our audience and our
Membership now stands in excess of eighty.
In the interval
at our monthly concerts we serve a complimentary "SWEET TREAT" usually Pie and
Custard (all very low calorie, of course!). We also have a Members'
draw, a Raffle and bar service till 9.30 pm.
We organise
various socials during the year, Club Evenings, BBQ and Christmas Party all open
to non Members, friends and our fellow music lovers from
The Guernsey Society.
