We must be doing something right since we have
recently
celebrated our 25 years and, if anything, the membership is growing
…slowly, but growing. Maybe it’s because there is always a warm
friendly atmosphere on club nights and shown here is one of our Christmas concerts
with Michael Wooldridge and drummer Phil Solomon giving some idea of
how much trouble is taken each month to get things ‘just so’ and, of
course, a lot of thought is given before bookings are made. Look below
and you will see the planned performers for next year….varied and
always interesting. The icing on the cake at any Horsham concert is
that just out of sight is a well stocked bar!…so if you do have a
thirst then you can have a drink whilst enjoying the music! |

As with most clubs, we are sure, the majority of the
attending members are primarily interested in having a good musical
evening provided once a month by a professional artist or artistes and
that is fine. But, there is a significant number of members who want
more than that and this picture shows a selection of enthusiasts who
regularly attend ‘workshops’ where we visit a variety of homes giving
players a chance to play instruments they would not normally have access
too. And, you never know when you will pick up a gem of information to
help you with your own playing as a result of a pleasant afternoon at a
workshop |

But that is not all. We also
arrange interesting outings to add a bit more spice to our club
year. For example, in 2004 there were two outings - one of which was to
the Singing Hills Golf Club in Sussex, where, if you did not know it
already, there are two excellent theatre organs for listening to and
sometimes playing. On this occasion it was a dinner dance with
professional keyboard music provided. Then, later in the
year there was a coach trip to Thursford, Norfolk where we enjoyed the fabulous Christmas Show that now has a far reaching
reputation.

So
that’s us ... why don’t you come along and find out for yourself
what a pleasant evening can be had? |
