With the successful vaccination programme and good steps being made on the road map to normal, we are delighted to be launching our concert series in July with a very special duet show, featuring two of the country's most popular musicians. Tell your friends to come along.
We meet at 7.15pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Charles Hunt Centre, a cosy venue in the middle of Hailsham and with easy car parking. Doors normally open a half an hour before the concert starts. Admission is £8.00 per person and is payable in cash on the door.
Our musical evenings will be hosted by Richard Moore and Michael Wooldridge, both of whom have many years experience in the world of entertainment, so you can be assured of a warm welcome and a great night of live music, featuring some of the UK's top keyboard entertainers playing our kind of music.
How to find us: The Charles Hunt Centre is easy to find. It is in the centre of Hailsham, right next to the Waitrose supermarket, with plenty of car parking just feet away! The car park is accessed from Vicarage Lane, a one-way road running north to south in parallel to the High Street.
History: Hailsham MelodyTimes started life in the 1980s as the Hadlow Down Organ Club, very successfully run by Mick and Carol from EmJay Music. It did well and in January 2000 moved to the Pavilion, Hailsham, a restored cinema, around 10 miles north of Eastbourne. More recently, Mick and Carol have moved to North Norfolk, handing over the reins of the club to a new team and the club moved to the Charles Hunt Centre, which provides a more cosy setting for the monthly gatherings. During 2019, due mainly to ill health, the existing team decided it was time to step down, so the club was to close, but we are delighted that MelodyTimes Concerts has been able to step in to keep friendly musical evenings alive in Hailsham.
