Our VENUE, THE BARRINGTON THEATRE is one of the finest of its type around, it contains all the attributes necessary. Apart from the fully fitted and professionally operated stage and lighting, it has acoustic qualities that are second to none. This is due to the auditorium's unique shape which is octagonal, so it doesn't matter where one sits the sound remains the same, the maximum seating is 255.
There is also a grand piano available should it be required. The stage door opens directly onto the car park allowing easy access.
CLUB HISTORY. The club was originally formed in 1988, just after the Barrington Centre was opened by Princess Margaret in 1987. It was originally intended to be a general music society with various types of musical entertainment, but it soon became apparent that the members preferred electronic organ music, and so it became a society that presented entertainment organists in a first class setting. The club is run by a committee of ten, two of which were founder members, three more have served for twenty years, the remainder have joined at various times since, all have given of their time to ensuring that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
