The Society was
formed in the spring of 1972, and over the years our membership
has grown to the present figure of 260 plus.
Since January
1994 all of our concerts have been held at our present venue in
the ballroom of the B.A.W.A. (Bristol
Aerospace Welfare Association)
Leisure Centre, which has a seating
capacity of about 250.
Membership of
the B.A.W.A. Social Club is a pre-requisite to entry for the
concerts, £1 at reception or £5.50 per year. With the very
occasional exception, all concerts are held on the third Thursday of
the month.
